Lamp2’s CSF concentration has been reported to decrease in PD (Boman et al., 2016; Klaver et al., 2018) and to increase in AD (Armstrong et al., 2014), in accordance with reports of decreased lamp2a and HSPA8 (referred to in that study as hsc70) in PD brain specimens (Alvarez-Erviti et al., 2010) and increased transcription of positive regulatory genes for autophagy in AD brain specimens (Lipinski et al., 2010b).
