We observed that calbindin expression in granule cells was dramatically reduced in the WD group (Mdn = 9.5 densitometry units IQR: 7.9–18.2) as compared to the control group (Mdn = 40.2 densitometry units IQR: 39.1–46.3; U = 0, P < 0.0001). Here, CALB1 is linked to Wilson disease.
