Our recent data-mining from the NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database revealed compelling expression pattern of KIAA0100 in breast cancer patients as well as in in-vivo tumor models: the expression level of KIAA0100 was significantly elevated in both basal-like and non-basal like breast cancer compared to normal controls [9,10] (GDS2250), suggesting its involvement in both cancer types. This evidence concerns the gene BLTP2 and breast carcinoma.
