In addition, we measured the mRNA levels of Pontin between cholangiocarcinoma and nontumor-surrounding normal tissues using a bioinformatics database, and we found that Pontin mRNA levels were upregulated in cholangiocarcinoma tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues (p < 0.0001); this finding was consistent with those of previous studies reporting that Pontin is highly upregulated in nonsmall cell lung cancer [22]. This evidence concerns the gene RUVBL1 and cholangiocarcinoma.
