Subgroup analysis according to the sample locations suggested that elevated CD163+ TAMs density in both total tumor and tumor stroma correlated with unfavourable RFS (HRs = 2.44, 95% CI = 1.50 ~ 3.39, and = 2.08, 95% CI = 1.13 ~ 3.02, respectively) (Supplementary Figure 2).
