The present study explores the associations between urinary levels of HAI-1, EpCAM and EGFR and disease progression and mortality in a cohort of 858 patients (683 NMIBC patients and 175 MIBC patients) from the West Midlands’ Bladder Cancer Prognosis Programme (BCPP [16]) in order to investigate their utility for risk-stratifying NMIBC patients (and HR-NMIBC patients in particular). This evidence concerns the gene EPCAM and urinary bladder carcinoma.
