GAS5 and HOTAIR expression levels were found to be deregulated in bladder cancer, and their expression was shown to be associated with tumor grade and disease‐free survival.15, 16 Moreover, modulation of GAS5 and HOTAIR expression levels was found to affect proliferation of bladder cancer cells and to sensitize them to doxorubicin.15, 16. The gene discussed is HOTAIR; the disease is urinary bladder carcinoma.
