However, ADAMTS13 levels can also be lowered (but > 10%) in pregnancy, postpartum, and other non-TTP diseases such as hemolytic uremic syndrome, hematopoietic stem cell and solid organ transplantation, liver disease, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), sepsis, certain medications [3], preeclampsia, eclampsia, and hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count (HELLP) [10, 11].
