Meta-analysis of sixteen univariate HR results showed that breast cancer patients with higher CEA levels were significantly associated with shorter OS (HR = 2.46, 95% CI: 1.93–3.15, p < 0.001; heterogeneity: I2 = 70%, Ph < 0.001; random-effect model; Figure 2(d)). This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and breast carcinoma.
