The results from our and others' studies indicate the activation of the NF-κB pathway and NLRP3 inflammasome in brain regions prefrontal cortex [7, 10–12] and hippocampus [12–14] in rodents of CUMS-induced depression, which are consistent with the reports in depressed patients [3, 6].
