Immunohistochemical staining showed that the HMGB1 high expression percentages in lung cancer tissues and normal tissues adjacent to the lung cancer tissues from 90 patients were 56.7% and 30.0%, respectively, which showed that the level of HMGB1 expression in lung cancer tissue was significantly higher than in the tissue adjacent to the lung cancers (Table 1). Here, HMGB1 is linked to lung carcinoma.
