Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (Q-RT-PCR) analysis of TET1 and TET3 transcripts from UM-SCC cell lines (UM-SCC-10A, -10B, -11A, -11B, -22B, and -54) revealed significantly lower expression of these genes in cancer cell lines than in normal cell lines (P = 0.041 and P < 0.001, respectively) (Figure 1A and 1C). The gene discussed is TET3; the disease is cancer.
