Whilst there is some debate about whether there is a true increased risk of PCa for BRCA1 mutation carriers, there is solid evidence that BRCA2 mutation carriers present at a younger age and with aggressive disease 4, 5; therefore, prostate screening and early detection could have an important role in reducing the disease burden, particularly among BRCA2 mutation carriers 6.
