TGM2 and neoplasm: Transglutaminase-mediated BAP incorporation (Fig. 5c) and in vitro autoradiography employing [18F]2 (Fig. 5d), both means of measuring the open (active) conformation of transglutaminase, demonstrated a similar distribution pattern as observed with the anti-TG2 antibody and the haematoxylin/eosin staining, i.e. incorporation of the substrate and inhibitor in the viable areas of tumour tissue.
