NFE2L2 and cancer: Some factors identified (e.g., NF-κB, STAT3, FOS) are known to be involved for transformation in our model, others (e.g., CEBPB, HIF1a, ETS2, FHL2, TCF7L2, and NFE2L2) have been described as oncogenes in other settings, and some proteins (BHLHE40 and MAFB) have not been well linked to cancer.
