HULC and cancer: In the present study, the allelic model, the heterozygote type AC, and the dominant model of HULC rs7763881 A/C polymorphism were associated with decreased overall risk of cancer compared with the wild-type AA (C compared with A: P=0.040, OR = 0.91, 95% CI = 0.83–0.99; AC compared with AA: P=0.000, OR = 0.74, 95% CI = 0.63–0.86; dominant model: P=0.000, OR = 0.77, 95% CI = 0.66–0.89, Table 3).
