Although previous studies have shown a higher accuracy of Ki-67 at 0.804 with sensitivity at 61% and specificity at 75% [23], it should be noted that the studies included are predominately based on papillary thyroid carcinoma and the Ki-67 index based on immunohistochemistry [23, 24]. The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is thyroid gland papillary carcinoma.
