Activation of the cell surface chondroitin sulfate (CS) proteoglycan PTPRZ1 leads to increased tyrosine phosphorylation of several signaling pathways and is upregulated in many human cancers, such as lung cancer, prostate cancer, and glioma, regulating cancer cell migration and metastasis [23–25]. This evidence concerns the gene PTPRZ1 and Familial prostate cancer.
