In a multivariate model of logistic regression analysis, ln leptin (per SD increase) was significantly associated with the relative risk of postoperative DVT (OR 2.17, 95% CI (1.01–4.64), P = .046), when adjusted for age, sex, BMI, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, d-dimer > 0.5 mg/L, LDL-C > 119.9 mg/dL, duration of surgery and intraoperative blood loss. The gene discussed is LEP; the disease is deep vein thrombosis.
