Compared to healthy controls, the expression of CASP8L mRNA is increased and accompanied with the decrease of SRSF4 mRNA expression in new diagnosed AML, the proportion of CASP8L/CASP8A is also significantly increased, and there is clear correlation between SRSF4 and CASP8L mRNA expression; SRSF4 acts as a splicing regulator of CASP8 and mediates CASP8 splicing [57]. This evidence concerns the gene CASP8 and acute myeloid leukemia.
