Pyrroloiminoquinone alkaloids (No. 23) (Figure 5) from the marine sponge Latrunculia sp., which were identified as novel HIF-1α/p300 inhibitors, interrupted the protein-protein interaction between HIF-1α and p300 [44], and potently inhibited the growth of HCT 116 and prostatic carcinoma cell lines in vitro models. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and prostate carcinoma.
