CD8A and infection: Although there were increased virus-specific CD8 T cells in the lung of SCI mice after infection, this was largely attenuated compared to uninjured mice (%NP: SCI vs uninjured, 3.87 ± 0.38 vs 1.88 ± 0.40, p < 0.003; %PA: SCI vs uninjured, 6.03 ± 0.63 vs 3.72 ± 0.55, p < 0.04; Fig. 3a, b).
