A study from Chen et al. included 49 patients with VKH syndrome with uveitis and without uveitis, and showed a decreased percentage of CD4+CD25high T-cells, a decreased frequency of Foxp3+ expression in CD4+CD25high T-cells and reduced functionality of CD4+CD25high “Treg” in patients with active uveitis (61). This evidence concerns the gene FOXP3 and Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease.
