To confirm these findings, we carried out infections and mNET-seq analysis with an H3N2 strain of influenza A virus with a strong NS1-CPSF30 interaction (A/Udorn/72) (Das et al., 2008) and with a mutant virus of the same strain in which the NS1 protein is truncated and lacks the CPSF30-binding effector domain (NS1Δ99) (Jackson et al., 2010). This evidence concerns the gene CPSF4 and infection.
