MCM7 and prostate cancer: A study has proven that the concomitant overexpression of the miR-106b-25 cluster and its host gene minichromosome maintenance protein 7 (MCM7) cooperates in initiating prostate cancer by directly targeting the tumor suppressor phosphatase and tensin homologue (PTEN) gene both in prostate cancer cell lines and human prostate cancer specimens [8] (Table 5) (Figure 3).
