MTOR and glioblastoma: In accordance with the findings of Zhang et al., another study has found that miR-25 was overexpressed in human astrocytoma samples and glioblastoma cell lines leading to tumor growth and invasion by directly targeting neurofilament light polypeptide (NEFL) which was an inhibitor of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) cell proliferation pathway [65] (Table 3) (Figure 3).
