In the present study, to explore the effect of IL-10 supplementation in the KD development, we used adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors because they are efficient vehicles for the systemic and long-term expression of therapeutic proteins8,9, and demonstrated that the induction of AAV-mediated IL-10 prevents vascular inflammation and cardiac dysfunction in CAWS-induced vasculitis. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and vasculitis.
