CD274 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: It is well documented that PD‐L1/PD‐1 axis could suppress T‐cell function and maintain the immune suppression in tumor microenvironment.5, 6 Our clinical data of CD274 expression from the TCGA database indicates that the high CD274 (PD‐L1) expression in HNSCC (1) predicts a poor prognosis,22, 23 and (2) correlates with the poor reaction of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in HNSCC patients.
