We used six known lung cancer markers, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), anaplastic lymphoma receptor tyrosine kinase (ALK), GTPase KRas (KRAS), hepatocyte growth factor receptor (MET), phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha isoform (PIK3CA), and ret proto-oncogene (RET) to compare the coefficient of variation (CV) of our 70 HKGs set with cancer datasets. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is lung cancer.
