Family studies based on large cohorts of affected women and relatives have suggested that variation in activin A receptor type 2A (ACVR2), rho associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 2 (ROCK2), endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1), and endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 2 (ERAP2) genes are associated with preeclampsia [19–21], reviewed in [14]. The gene discussed is ERAP1; the disease is preeclampsia.
