MTT assays indicated that the taxol/Ad-shPRC1 combination resulted in significantly enhanced cytotoxicity compared with taxol or Ad-vector alone (Fig. 3e); while overexpression of PRC1 significantly protected the HepG2 cells from taxol (P < 0.001, Fig. S3f), suggesting that PRC1 plays a critical role in the toxicity of taxol to HCC cells.
