GAS5 can inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of multiple cell types and is a promising diagnostic and prognostic cancer biomarker.11, 12, 14 To study the biological function of GAS5 in esophageal cancer, we silenced GAS5 in 2 esophageal cancer cell lines, KYSE30 and KYSE180 which showed medium GAS5 expression, using lentivirus‐mediated knockdown (Figure 2A,B). This evidence concerns the gene GAS5 and esophageal cancer.
