CXCL5 is overexpressed in gastric cancer, prostate cancer, endometrial cancer, squamous cell cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and pancreatic cancer, and increased expression of CXCL5 is associated with advanced tumor stages, local invasion, neutrophil infiltration and metastatic potential [20–25].
