HMGA1 and cancer: To study the prognostic importance of this relationship, we used the web-based tool KM-plotter39,40 and found that patients with low HMGA1 or high HEYL have a significantly better prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma, but not in lung squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) (Supplementary Fig. 9d, e), suggesting that the relationship between these proteins may have prognostic value in certain types of cancer.
