The mGPS, assessed based on plasma level of CRP and albumin, was found to modulate the postoperative mortality risk in patients with gastric cancer.[18] On the other hand, increased mGPS was also associated with advanced tumor stage of gastric cancer.[18] In the present study, we found that higher mGPS was involved in increased plasma levels of IL-4, IL-6, IL-8. Here, CXCL8 is linked to gastric cancer.
