Although we have not conducted extensive work to address the robustness and nature of T cells responses in RSV-infected Nrf2 KO mice and potential involvement in the reduced antiviral response, we observed greater concentrations of IL-13 and IL-10 in BAL of RSV-infected Nrf2 KO at day 1 post-infection, while on the other hand levels of IFN-γ were greater in Nrf2 KO at days 5 and 7 compared to WT controls (Figure 5). This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and infection.
