Among the genes identified by the conditional analysis, namely CHMP1A, FANCA, SPIRE2, DEF8, AFG3L1P, DBNDD1 and PRDM7, DBNDD1 has been previously associated with tanning ability5, while mutations in the FANCA gene are responsible for Fanconi anaemia, a disease characterised by short stature, bone marrow failure and increased risk of multiple cancers. This evidence concerns the gene FANCA and Bone marrow hypocellularity.
