In one of the older studies, Dati et al. examined tumors from 132 primary breast cancer patients and showed that high RAS p21 levels predicted worse clinical outcome [36]; elevated RAS p21 correlated with overexpression of c-erbB-2 encoded p185 protein, indicating a possible cross-talk between the erbB-2 and RAS signalling cascade. Here, ERBB2 is linked to breast cancer.
