At the peak of the T cell response on day 8 after infection, no difference was seen in numbers of total CD8 T cells, KLRG1+ short-lived effector CD8 T cells or that of LCMV glycoprotein (gp)-specific CD8 T cells between Cd4-cre+Cd2apF/F and Cd2apF/F mice (Fig 1A, 1B and 1D), suggesting that CD2AP is not required for normal CD8 T cell responses to acute LCMV infection.
