PNPLA3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: Consistent with previous literature [7, 11] and according to the Akaike information criterion (data not shown) [20], the models with the best fit for the association with the risk of NASH cirrhosis with respect to noncirrhotic NAFLD were additive for the PNPLA3 polymorphism (CC = 0; CG = 1; GG = 2) and dominant for the TM6SF2 and KLF6 polymorphisms (CC = 0; CT and TT = 1).
