Consistently, our results revealed that the expression of HGF, Myc, and β‐Catenin was significantly upregulated in HBx transgenic livers compared with non‐transgenic mice at both the early (0 h, 12 h, and 3 days) and late (3 months) time points after PH in comparison with the age‐matched non‐PH mice, implying that HBx may enhance the progression of HCC after PH by positively regulating these signal molecules. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and hepatocellular carcinoma.
