At this timepoint, only 7–10% of bacteria are intracellular (S5 Fig), thus the recruitment of Rac1 and Cdc42 (8.6 ±0.9% and 6.7 ±1.3% respectively) reflects the transient association of these with nearly every invasion-competent EB at 10 minutes post-infection.
