CRP and arthritic joint disease: Measuring the stress response by MHI-5 revealed that the percentage of patients with ‘high stress’ was not statistically different between patients presenting with or without an elevated CRP (16 versus 12%, p = 0.53), with or without MRI-detected inflammation (14 versus 12%, p = 0.92) or for patients who did and did not develop arthritis (13 versus 13%, p = 0.92).
