Nevertheless, our results are not surprising given the laboratory data—that (1) PAPP‐A is frequently overexpressed in tumors, including breast cancer 3; and (2) in vivo, PAPP‐A overexpressing SKOV3 clones (ovarian cancer) have accelerated tumor growth compared with mutant PAPP‐A and controls 50.
