This said, though the results that MXRA7 deficiency decreased and MXRA7 overexpression increased the expression of fibronectin and TIMP1 in murine livers (Figure 6) were still preliminary, they strongly implied that MXRA7 might also be involved in such chronic liver injuries as those induced by repeated CCl4 challenge, heavy alcohol consumption, drug intoxication, or consistent virus infections.
