Hilgers et al. reported that glucosamine and Thiamet-G (an OGA inhibitor) suppressed tumor necrosis factor-α-induced hypocontractility and endothelial dysfunction by inhibiting tumor necrosis factor-α-induced inducible nitric oxidase synthase expression and peroxynitrite production in the rat aortic ring (Hilgers et al., 2012). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and endothelial dysfunction.
