TP53 and Familial prostate cancer: Transient inhibition of miR-449a with antagomir in Rb/p53 mBTSCs significantly increased their proliferation and migration, consistent with previous reports in cell lines derived from hepatocellular carcinoma [16], colon cancer [27], or prostate cancer [22], whilst the opposite effect was seen when a miR-449a mimic was introduced into Pten/p53 cells (Figs. 3c, d).
