Interestingly, while miR-193b only slightly increased caspase-3/7 activity in CHLA-15 cells (1.26 fold), it significantly increased PARP-1 cleavage in this cell line within 24 hours post-transfection, indicating that miR-193b may also induce caspase-independent cell death in neuroblastoma.
