Previous researches have documented that manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD) expression or activity is upregulated in CRC in comparison with adjacent normal mucosa; moreover, the expression or activity level of this enzyme was not only associated with the depth of invasion, venous plexus involvement and clinical stage [8–12] but also could be an independent prognostic factor for poor 5-year survival of CRC patients [13]. Here, SOD2 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
