Several genes have been reported to be hypermethylated in BlCa, including APC, ARF, CDKN2A, DAPK, LAM-5 and RASSF1A, and have also been proposed as detection markers for BlCa (Chan et al., 2002; Dulaimi et al., 2004b; Friedrich et al., 2004). The gene discussed is RASSF1; the disease is bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
