Among them, 14 genes were associated with the poor survival of ccRCC patients (Supplementary Fig. S1a), namely, TGFB1, LAMA5, PTHLH, FOXM1, TIMP1, CAV1, CDKN2A, ITGA5, CTSZ, LOX, PLAUR, MMP9, LOXL2 and FSCN1; the other 9 genes were related to a better prognosis (Supplementary Fig. S1c). This evidence concerns the gene TIMP1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
